Human Resources professional responsible for supporting a broad range of Human Resources functions including recruiting, on-boarding, recruiting, performance evaluations, employee relations, policy research and policy proposal support, etc. This position reports to the Head of HR and works with a great team of HR professionals.  Excellent growth opportunity for the right person who is passionate about providing services to others and interested in growing their career.  

Responsibilties

  • Together with HR team, coordinate recruiting activities including but not limited to reviewing job requisitions, advertising openings, sourcing candidates, participating in job fairs, screening applicants, and/or scheduling interviews as needed, and tracking applicants. 
  • Support and manage performance management; provide guidance, feedback and coaching to managers regarding performance as well as associated documentation and follow-up.
  • Continuously communicate and educate employees and supervisors around policies and procedures and contribute to the improvement of processes and programs.
  • Provide guidance to employees in regard to leaves of absence, STD/LTD, etc., manage and track processes, and guide managers through associated payroll processing.  
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and employees concerning employment laws, rights and obligations. Serve as liaison between supervisors and employees to mediate and resolve concerns. 
  • Support program licensing and audits as required and partner cross functionally to insure that required documentation is tracked and maintained. 
  • Track and manage Unemployment Claims and participate in hearings or other fact-finding initiatives as required.
  • Participate in other HR projects as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in HR or Social Work. Masters degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in HR, Healthcare, Social Work or Business field.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high-paced environment
  • Previous experience or knowledge of DDD/DOE/DHS programs is a HUGE plus. 
  • Computer savvy: MS Office with advanced excel skills is another HUGE plus.
  • Knowledge of UKG/Kronos, GreenHouse Software or similar HRIS/ATS programs preferred
  • Passionate about people and inclusive mindset

  • HCI/SHRM certified preferred
