Character Visit at Pillar Elementary

In celebration of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday (Monday, March 2nd), volunteers Michael Giannone, Michele Giannone, and Michael Begley visited Pillar Elementary School dressed as characters from the popular Dr. Seuss book “The Cat in the Hat”.

The jubilant trio visited every classroom to share a story with our Pillar students! To honor the memory of their daughter Gabriella, Michelle and Michael Giannone volunteer with their close friend Michael Begley at a variety of children’s hospitals and schools. Their daughter was a student at Pillar Elementary (formerly Horizon School), so they always make a point to visit our school. We are very grateful for their generosity and every year the students look forward to their visit.
