The Pillar Care Wheelin’ -n’ -Walkin’ Challenges have raised over $120,000 to support program initiatives. The Wheelin’ -n’ -Walkin’ Challenges are annual fundraisers with each program having their own unique event joined by their communities. The fundraisers rely on the support of volunteers, families, and staff to raise money for the programs. This year’s support has been outstanding with over 850 unique donors supporting the events, helping Orange Day Program and Wayne Day Program break their previous fundraising records. On the day of the walks, community members join program participants as they celebrate and make their way around the designated tracks. Funds raised from the events go towards strengthening our programs, such as increasing community engagement for participants in the Day Programs or improving Pillar Schools’ Aquatic Therapy Programs with pool renovations.
